Weekend Brunch

The other week I was invited to a brunch at friend's parents place and this is what I wore. It's quite neutral for me, isn't it? I love this Madewell top and have worn the red version quite a bit. With the hot weather we have been having, I prefer wearing skirts. They are so much more comfortable! This year we've had the driest July on record. Not a drop of rain fell in Vancouver or Victoria the entire last month.

    1. Thank you, WMM!

The world gone mad, isn't it? It doesn't look like August will look much better, although we had one rainy day so far. Fried lawn, anyone?

  2. That is a lovely outfit Rose. You are getting a lot of mileage out of that neutral pencil skirt, so many ways to style it.

Is it a good thing that there was no rain for a month? Great weather I assume, but I wonder if the gardens and trees are suffering. I think the rain held off until it was over the mountains because we are getting it in spades around Calgary.

    1. Thanks, xoxo! Yes, this skirt was definitely a good purchase at a very good price.

Fortunately we have an irrigation system, but for those who don't, it is really hard, esp since they have watering restrictions in some areas.

  4. I can't believe you haven't had any rain for a whole month! Meanwhile it has been raining buckets in Toronto. It has been the wettest July here in decades, according to the weather reports. Climate change, it's crazy!

Great outfit, very classic and elegant!
