Asymmetrical Zip

The Asymmetrical Zip Pencil Skirt has been on my wishlist for a while. Since it went on sale a while back, I decided to go for the ivory version when it hit sale. I love the front zip off centre on this skirt, and now I am thinking of the Asymmetrical Zip Pencil Skirt in Houndstooth as well. Here's how I wore it last week:

Madewell New Arrivals Picks

Yesterday I noticed a few lovely new arrivals at Madewell and thought I'd share them with you. First of all, I really like the Wool Zip Vest. It's made of a wool mix with a sherpa fleece lining and collar, so perfect for the winter.

Plaid Touchstone Sweatshirt is a wool & poly mix, and looks and feels more like a sweater to me.

I have several silk tees from Madewell and they look beautiful and wear really well, so I put Silk Front Row Tee in Ink-Spot Leopard  on my wishlist.

Silk Front Row Tee in  Colorblock is similar both in design and colours to the tee above:

I love Madewell jewelry in vintage gold, and Helix Bracelet is my favourite from this roll-out:

There is also an equally beautiful Helix Ring:

The Lindley Boot in 'rusted burgundy' is a gorgeous colour and would look great worn either with skinny pants or tights and skirts.

Lastly, the Inkspot Leopard Scarf in similar pattern as the tee above. It's made of boiled wool, a favourite material of mine.

J. Crew - November (III)

I was at J. Crew recently looking for a gift and noticed some new arrivals. Abstract Fair Isle Sweater in 'charcoal blush' was on a table right at the entrance. I liked the grey, pink and coral colours of this sweater and its softness, so I decided to give it a try. I am wearing my usual sweater size S here. There is also a 'cloud violet' version.

The Roll-Sleeve Sweater is not a new arrival, but missed it on my previous trip. I am trying on size XS and 'heather orchid.' The yarn is a wool, nylon and viscose mix. I would wear this sweater with a shirt underneath.

Lurex-Stripe Popover looks much cuter in real life than in the website photo. I tried on size 2 and 'navy.' I usually wear size 2 to 6 at JC, depending on the style, but this one fitted large even in the smallest size.

My favourite piece at last, the Hugo Guiness for J. Crew Bliss Sweater size S. This sweater is a wool and alpaca wool mix and is extremely soft, without being itchy at all.

I also tried the Lowell Buckle Boots again. You may have seen them here before.

I also received an e-mail from American Express today regarding a special event at J. Crew for American Express cardholders on Thursday, November 20, one day before Black Friday. Check your Inbox or your spam folder to see if you received such an e-mail.

Thanks for dropping by, and have a great Tuesday out there!
