J. Crew - February

Last weekend I finally made it to JC and was able to check some of the new arrivals in person. A lovely cardigan was right at the entrance, the Fine-Striped V-Cardigan Sweater (size S, ivory navy). It is all merino wool, and very soft to the touch. Fits TTS on me.

Underneath I am wearing the Linen Long-Sleeve Striped T-Shirt (size S, navy ivory). It is all linen, machine washable, and very nicely done.

Another stripey top, the Mixed-Stripe Shirt (size S, burg navy). This is not new, if I remember correctly, but since I was on a stripe streak, I thought I'd give it a try.  The all cotton knit is quite substantial in comparison to the top above. I found that I liked the mix of colours quite a bit (front, sleeves and back).

Faux Leather Zip Dress (size 6, black). This is a synthetic fibers mix, and one of them is elasthane, so the dress is s a bit stretchy. I figured I wodl wear these with my PIxies, as otherwise it is too short for me (5'6").

Lastly, my favourite, the Silk Clip Dot Top (size 4, neon dahlia). It reminds me of a coral sweater from a few years ago that looked really good against my skin. I would probably wear it tucked in, not over a front-zippered skirt, though. Teh fabric is a silk/viscose mix and feels lovely against the skin.

That's all for now. Next weeend I will be downtown again, so hopefully I will check more stock out.

Hope your week has started well, and have a great Wednesday, everyone!

J. Crew - February Sneak Preview

The lovely online VPS sent me a few previews the other day, which by now have made their way onto the website, but and I thought I would share them with all the JCAs.

The first item was the Teddie Pants, which already debuted on the JC website last week.

Next are the pretty Mirrored Floral and the Deco Floral patterns. See the Silk Cap-Sleeve in Mirrored Floral below:

Tippi Striped Sweater With Shoulder Buttons in three colours is a new twist on a favourite that has been around for a while:

Campbell Blazer in Super 120s Wool looks very similar to the Mackenzie Blazer I have from J. Crew (in three different colours):

Collection Lace-up Back Suede Dress comes in two different colours, warm rose and navy.

Pencil Skirt in Metallic Jacquard is an online item only, unfortunately.

A couple of long, fancy skirts, the Collection Crinoline Skirt in Deep Violet in a beautiful cotton/silk fabric

My favourite piece for last, the Collection Chiffon Dress in Dalmatian Print. It is currently sold out online, but either call a store to find out if any other store has it in the inventory or watch for pop-backs online:

What do you think of the February items the Personal Shopper picked? Any on your wish list? If so, please share!

Hope you are having a great rest of the weekend, everyone!

J. Crew Factory - January

New arrivals appeared on the J. Crew website today and I was excited to see a few that I liked. The Tipped Lightweight Wool Jackie Cardigan Sweater and the Tipped Lightweight Wool Jackie Cardigan Shell in both colourways look great and I put them on my wishlist.

Perfect Shirt in Onyx Dot is all cotton. The polka dot pattern will for sure be a hit.

I also liked the look of the Belted Zip Trench Coat in Water Resistant Cotton.  It would be a perfect piece for wearing when I am walking my dog. However, I wish it had a hood.

The Teddie Pants in six different colours should be fun to wear in the spring/summer. They are made of stretchy cotton.

Faux Leather Zip Dress would look good with my Pixie Pants this winter.  The dress is way too short for me on its own, but should work well with the pants.

Collection Silk Skirt in Tie-Dye Print has beautiful colours and is made of the lovely silk/wool J. Crew uses in some of their skirts.

And lastly, the Marlo Crossbody Bag in neon orange is a nice, bright colour for spring.

I have a few more favourites, but I think I should stop here for now. How about you? What did you like from the new roll-out at J. Crew? Please share?

As always, thank you for stopping by, and have a great Wednesday out there!
