Loft - November

It's been a while since I dropped in at the Loft, but since I was in the area last weekend, I figured I should. :) Several new arrivals got my attention, among which the Relaxed Turtleneck Tunic (size S, cordovan heather). It's extremely soft and very comfortable, as well as machine washable. I was not too keen on the yarn content, unfortunately (acrylic & nylon).

Another comfortable sweater, the Lou & Grey Funnel Neck Sweater (size S). It seems the mauvy-grey colour is sold online, but I saw plenty in the store. The yarn is a comfortable cotton/viscose/wool, making it very soft and cozy.

One more tunic sweater, the Lou & Grey Cloud Boucle Tunic (size S, deep plum melange). The yarn is acrylic/wool/poly/alpaca. It is very soft to the touch, but unfortunately I cannot wear acrylic. I loved the fit and the beautiful colour.

I love sweater dresses, and the Loft seems to have a few this winter. One of them is the Cozystitch Sweater Dress (size M, teal night melange). This is one size up than I normally wear but the fit was good. The yarn is cotton/viscose/nylon/camel, making it very soft and cozy as well.

Lastly, another sweater dress, the Turtleneck Sweater Dress (size M, red hot pepper). Medium is one size larger than I normally wear, but there was no size S to compare. The length is longer than I normally prefer, but a belt would solve that problem. I loved the colour, but the knit is an acrylic/nylon mix I don't particularly like much.

What else I like at the Loft:

How about you? Anything you like at the Loft? Please share!

Hope you are having a great Thanksgiving and a safe Black Friday, everyone!

J. Crew - November (III)

Last weekend I was at the Village and naturally I stopped by J. Crew there to check out a few more new arrivals and the sale section, as well. First, the Wintress Puffer Coat with Faux-Fur Hood (size S, black). I am usually size S in coats, but this one fits a bit tight across the chest on me, so I would size up to an M. The coat is quite light, which I like in a puffer coat.

Next is the Fair Isle Crewneck Sweater (size S, ivory multi), which fits TTS and is all wool.

Another sweater I liked quite a bit was the Turtleneck Sweater with Notched Rim (size S, heather plum). There are also four other colours available. It is a wool/acrylic/alpaca mix and it is very soft. Size S is my usual size, but it fits large on me, as you  can see below:

Lastly, a fun piece for the holidays, the Knit Top with Fun Fringe (size S, black).  It's made from a cotton/nylon mix and comes in two other colours as well.

And that's about it all for now. Have you been to JC to check out the new arrivals? What did you think? The Pixies in heather charcoal I just got a couple of weeks ago are on sale, and another 40% off applies if you purchase them in the store.

Hope you had a good start of the week, and have a safe Tuesday out there!

J. Crew - November (II)

This past weekend I was able to visit JC and see some of the new arrivals. One of the favourites among them was the Crewneck Sweater With Edged Lace (size S, heather charcoal). I loved the softness of the sweater and the beautiful lace on the sleeves.

The shoes I am trying on above are the Gemma Flats (size 8, rhubarb). The flats fit TTS on my feet and are quite comfortable. They are currently on sale right now with the code SHOPTOIT.

Next is the Perfect Shirt in Stewart Plaid (size 4, black). This is the smaller of the 2 sizes in J. Crew shirts and feels quite tight on, so I would go with my larger size in this case.

More lace on the Lace Sweatshirt (size S, marled pearl champagne). The fabric is all cotton and feels very soft against the skin. I loved both colourways of this top.

Lastly, my favourite piece, the Buffalo Check Shirt-Jacket (size S, navy ivory). This piece is almost thick enough to wear as a jacket. I liked the zip front placket and the longer length of this piece.

That's all for now, but hope to go back again this weekend. Have you been to JC lately? What did you like/get?

Hope you had a good start to your week, and have a safe Tuesday out there!
