J. Crew - May (V)

Last weekend my newly JC-converted friend and I ended up at the store to check out the new arrivals. The adorable Donald Robertson for J. Crew Kiss Kiss Tee was right at the entrance. The tee seems to be sold out at the moment from the website, but fear not, the stores had plenty. I took my normal S tee size in this one.

The skirt I am wearing is the Stripe Eyelet Skirt (size 2, black). Size up if you want to wear it lower on your hips for a bit of extra length.

Another skirt, the Mini Skirt in Midnight Floral Jacquard (size 4). It's very short on me, but I couldn't resist the pretty fabric. Sorry for the blurry photo.

My favourite kind of skirt, the Crossover Pencil Skirt in Plumeria Jacquard (size 4). This is my larger of the 2 JC skirt sizes. The fabric of this skirt is beautiful and the website photos do not do it justice, in my opinion. There is also a gorgeous dress in this print, which I do not see on the website, unfortunately.

Lastly, the Sleeveless Silk Chiffon Dress in Zigzag (size 4, neon persimmon). Size 4 is the smaller of my two dress sizes at JC. I loved the right colour of this dress and how light it felt. It comes in three other colours, as well as Petite and Tall sizes.

That's about it for now. Have you been to JC to see the new arrivals? What did you like/get? Please share!

Thank you for visiting and have a safe Wednesday out there!

Loft - May (II)

Last weekend I also stopped at the Loft. I have always liked their pants, as they fit me well, so when I saw the Skinny Cropped Chinos in Marisa Fit (size 4), I had to try them on. The colour is not listed online, for some reason, but I recall it was one that JC called a few years back 'irish moss.' It's a great, universal colour, in my opinion, as it seems to go with almost everything. The tee is the Leaf Cuffed Vintage Broken In Tee (size S), all cotton and machine washable. I loved the blue print of this tee a lot.

I also found this really cute dress. It's the jacquard style Lou & Grey Montecito Tee Dress (size S, pure ivory), made of poly & spandex.

Another pair of pants, this time the Linear Eyelet Riviera Pants in Marisa Fit (size 4, summer navy). They are all lined, cotton and machine washable. They fit a bit tighter than the pants above.

Summer is just around the corner, so I thought I'd try this Chevron Drawstring Maxi Skirt (size S, night watch navy). Small is my usual size, but this felt a bit too loose for my taste. Next time I visit I may try on a smaller size. The fabric is a cotton & poly blend and is machine washable.

Lastly for now, the Button Pocket Utility Blouse (size S,burning red). The rayon fabric feels very cool against the skin, which I prefer in the summer. I loved the intense colour, which is an orangey red in real life.

I have a few more photos for the next post, plus I will end up at the Loft again tomorrow, so watch for new photos next week some time.

Have you been to the Loft lately? Do you like it better these days? I know that I do.

Thanks for dropping by, and have a great weekend!

J. Crew - May (IV)

Since I happened to be downtown again last weekend, I took a quick look at J. Crew with a friend (who is slowly becoming a convert too). :) I love my J. Crew Stretch Perfect Wide Stripe Shirt a lot, so when I saw the Vertical-Striped Shirt, I had to try it on. I took a size 4 in this, which is my usual size in this type of shirt. The pants are the Drapey Patio Trouser (size 2, black). They are very comfortable and should look good on worn with high heels.

Next was the adorable Women's J. Crew for Buglife Save The Bees Tee size S, my regular tee size. This is a tee with a cause: fifty percent of the retail price will be donated to Buglife to help save bees.

One of my favourites this spring is the Linen Cargo Pencil Skirt which I have already blogged about here. This is also size 4, but in olive colour.

The Lena Leather Heeled Slides in 'dark cognac' are size 8, my regular shoe size at JC. I loved the look and how they wear. They seemed comfortable on my feet as well.

Lastly, my favourite shoes right now, the Elsie Suede d'Orsay Pumps (size 8, black). Usually I have had to size up half a size in the JC pumps, but these fit TTS. They were easy to walk on as well, so they are definitely on my wishlist. Can you tell I really like them? :)

That's about it for now, but hope to see the latest arrivals this coming weekend.

Hope you are having a great week so far, and have a lovely day tomorrow!
