Loft - May

I have a few photos I took while at the Loft on two separate occasions, but I haven't had the chance to post them yet. The first one is that of the Striped Stroll Skirt (size M, wild rose). The back of the waistband is elastic. I sized up one size in order to gain some length, but I would say this skirt fits true to size. The colours of the skirt are much more vivid in real life than in the website photos. I tried it on with the Linen Pocket Tee (left, size M, clay pottery), Texture Tee (right, size S, derby blue) and Linen Pocket Tee again (bottom, size M, coral peony).

Next I tried on the Geo Softened Shirt (size M, fresh navy). I usually take size S in shirts, but size S was too tight in the shoulders, so I sized up in it. The cotton/viscose fabric is very soft and the pattern is beautiful, so th eblouse came home with me. The store was offering $40 off $100 purchases, so it was an easy decision to make.

Shimmer Stripe Vintage Soft Tee (size S, whisper white) is a white tee with a nice metallic stripe through it, so another nice find to wear this summer.

Lastly for now, another tee, the Vintage Soft Tee (size S, burning red). The colour is a bright orange and looks good against my pale skin.

What else I like at the Loft right now:

I have a few more photos for a next post. How about you? Have you taken advantage of the Loft sales lately? What did you get? Please share!

Hope your week has started well, and if you live up North, happy Victoria Day today!

J. Crew New Arrivals Picks

I finally had the time to take a peek at the site last night, and thought I'd post my favourites. I loved the Tulip Skirt in Ratti Happy Cat Print  in the sneak previews, and can't wait to take a look at it in person later this week. It is made of cotton, so perfect for the summer:

Popover Shirt in Melon Plaid is growing on me, and think would look with my plain summer skirts or jeans alike:

I already have the Frayed Denim Pencil Skirt  and I am thinking of wearing it, among other tops, with the Garment-dyed Linen Cable Crewneck Sweater in pink orchid as well. This sweater comes in three other colours as well. There is also a Linen Cable Crewneck Sweater as well, which comes in six other colours.

Collection Embroidered Embellished Floral Tank looks beautiful in both colours:

Paneled Terry Hoodie would be a great addition for the chillier summer evenings when walking my pooch:

Seaside Pants seem very comfortable and any of the 4 colours they come in would be a great casual this summer:

Although my workplace is very casual, I still like the JC pencil skirts a lot. Love the Pencil Skirt in Windowpane Tweed:

Lastly, I really like the colours of the Block-Striped Scarf:

Hope you are having a great week so far, and have a great end of the week, everyone!

J. Crew New Arrivals Previews

Earlier today I received a message from my online VPS with the previews of what's coming in June at J. Crew. The first look features the Liberty Art Fabrics Bellis Print and the Pintucked Midi Skirt in Morning Floral, worn with the Italian Silk Tie in Floral Jacquard and the Elsie Slingback Gingham Pumps.

The next look features the Bermuda Garment-dyed T-Shirt as well as the Pleated Midi Skirt in Flamingo Print

Gingham seems to be big this year, so there is another bow shoulder top, this time in Oversized Gingham.
